Is it the difference in people or system

I came to US just 4months back. I'm so excited to see, the so called land of opportunities, USA. I'm so surprised to see the infrastructure and the quality of life, people are leading. Where's the difference, what makes people live happy here and why people who come here hardly go back to their own country....I've so many questions like this. As it's a weekend, I got up late and switched on TV. Shocking news, FIRESTORM and it's spreading in CA. Volunteers are helping People and wildlife to evacuate from there. Indications and orange boards are kept everywhere to guide people for directions. Daily life of common person was affected hardly. It’s so surprising. Media is covering whatever is happening over the affected areas and senator is trying to assure people that they will be taken care of. I’m little surprised how they are able to balance the situation. Had it been in India, government, police and media reaction would be different. Our government will be busy in doing false promises and opposition to criticize it always (of course, it’s their duty!!!) and police would be busy in saving their own lives and busy in protecting criminals and ultimately the suffering is ‘PUBLIC’, i.e ‘COMMON MAN’. What’s the difference? Whether it’s people or system which is made by people making the difference in quality of life? People are electing their leaders, who are making the rules for government which again everyone else is expected to follow. We are electing wrong people for money and liquor. So we are suffering when calamities happen. Think twice and vote consciously. Coming to USA brought a change in my thinking. Thanks to USA and India.
